14 May 2026 In-Person Evening with Bearing Witness Program May 14, 2026 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Bearing Witness: Stories from Fellow Rotarians The Metro Boston Rotary Workgroup for Peace & Conflict Resolution invites you to join a meaningful and timely conversation: Bearing Witness: Stories from Fellow Rotarians. Moderated by Bernard Greene, this special evening will feature Rotarians Suheir Freitekh, Faiza Khan, Elias Audy, and Danette Day sharing personal experiences and reflections through storytelling and dialogue. The program will include: A storytelling panel featuring Rotarians sharing personal experiences A guided reflection discussion with participants A closing reflection on how Rotary’s values of service, integrity, and peace can guide our actions during challenging times At its heart, Bearing Witness is about recognizing our shared responsibility to listen, learn, and act with compassion. 20 May 2026 Food Packing - Volunteer with Brookline Thrives May 20, 2026 6:45 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. Rotarians support Brookline Thrives every 3rd or 4th Wednesday evening & on other shifts to help package weekend food for Brookline Public School students facing food scarcity. 21 May 2026 Pride Parade Barbecue May 21, 2026 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Brookline Rotary will provide refreshments for the students as they complete the Pride March from Brookline High School.
21 May 2026 Club Business meeting - Planning Service Projects May 21, 2026 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. This meeting will be held in the café in the Teen Center, 40 Aspinwall Avenue, Brookline MA 02446, following the Pride Celebration at the Teen Center. Marchers will be walking in the Pride Parade from Brookline High School to the Teen Center, and Brookline Rotary will grill hamburgers and hot dogs to congratulate them on completing the walk. We will be reviewing this event, planning additional service projects, and reviewing other end-of-year business for the club. This is a good meeting to get updated on all the work of the club, the two Global Grants we are sponsoring, and planning next year's District Grant (submissions due June 30). Bring ideas for projects we might undertake for about $3000 during Rotary year 2026-2027, which begins July 1.
