On Thursday, June 15, 2017, Brookline Rotary will host its Annual Community Service Award Luncheon honoring a Brookline resident who has demonstrated distinguished public service.  This award has been part of the Brookline Rotary tradition since 1941 and is the longest, continuous award of its type in our Rotary District which covers 44 clubs throughout MA.  Past recipients include Sandra Bakalar, Governor Michael Dukakis, Chobee Hoy, Dr. Thomas Grayboys, and 71 other distinguished citizens who exemplify the Rotary motto of Service Above Self.
 
This year the award will be presented to community activist, Bobbie Knable.   Bobbie has been a Town Meeting member, member of the Women's Commission, MLK Committee among many contributions.
 
The Luncheon will be held at noon at the Stephen Rutledge VFW Post on Washington St.  Members of the community are welcome but RSVP’s are required.  Please contact 617-739-0400 by 6/7/17.
