It is with great excitement that we are able to share that BHS Interact President, Delilah Chapman Samstad has been accepted to Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong to continue her high school education beginning the fall of 2022. Delilah is the granddaughter of past Brookline Rotary President George Chapman. She will speak to the club on August 4UWC is an international high school for 16- to 19-year-olds with 18 campuses worldwide. Its mission is to unite cultures through education, thus creating a peaceful, sustainable world. UWC students represent up to 90 countries at some campuses and many come from conflict regions. They offer the International Baccalaureate, a two-year pre-university program that is the most widely recognized secondary school diploma in the world.
Though we will miss her leadership in Interact, we are excited for Delilah and confident that she takes with her her commitment to the ideals of Rotary and will share them in Hong Kong. Congratulations Delilah!
