Brookline has a history of working together during difficult times – and especially today, helping our neighbors helps us all. The Brookline Community Foundation has a long tradition of offering emergency assistance for basic needs (food, utilities, rent assistance, and other urgent needs) through the BCF Safety Net, which is administered by The Brookline Center.  Please consider a donation to the BCF Safety Net Fund.

With a strong, established network built from working with vulnerable residents over the years, the Safety Net will be capable of responding directly to the needs of vulnerable residents related to the COVID-19 public health crisis.

In addition, following guidance from the Brookline Department of Public Health to limit social interaction, BCF will be operating remotely through March 27. We will continue to work remotely with our grantees, partners, and donors – and we will remain accessible through phone, email, and teleconferencing. We will continue to update you as we learn more about this rapidly changing situation.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you.

Best regards,

Frank Steinfield
Interim Chief Executive Officer
