As always, we raise money to give it away to worthy projects in Brookline and beyond. Just in May we sent money to the Brookline HUB Youth Awards, and to the Brookline High School After-the-Prom Party, a project of the Parent Teacher Organization which for many years has helped to keep our young graduates in a safe and happy environment and off the roads for the night after the prom. And we also sent a donation the Rotary International Disaster Relief Fund to provide humanitarian aid to the children and families displaced by the war in Ukraine.
The Country Club in Chestnut Hill donated a number of gallery tickets to us and many other non-profit organizations in Brookline. We included in our auction four tickets that had been donated to the Friends of Brookline Public Health, helping them raise $1580.
Altogether, after all expenses, Brookline Rotary raised $11,405.

We are currently organizing a local project to begin in the summer. Last year's summer project brought enrichment activities to low-income young people in the Brookline Housing Authority properties, including beautiful books to keep, puppet shows, and Eureka puzzles and games events.
