Service Event - Packing Backpacks
Aug. 20, 2026 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
We have been collecting supplies to help students prepare for the upcoming school year. Members, friends, and local businesses have been donating needed items and volunteering to help assemble the backpacks. This event, August 20, is the culmination of that effort, where we gather to stuff the backpacks and pass them along to two local organizations who will pass them along to deserving students.
Steps to Success works alongside students and their families to make sure the students are successful in school. Eastern Service Workers Association works with low-income workers who are not represented by collective bargaining organizations, and their families, working to end the causes of poverty in the Boston area.
