Summer Eats Program (June through August 2024) --- a free breakfast & lunch program for Brookline youth, Mondays through Friday 10 am to 1pm at Brookline Ae Playground.  Rotary supports the Brookline Food Services Dept. in collaboration with Project Bread.  To learn more candor volunteer, click SummerEats.

Back-to-School Backpacks (August 2024) — filling backpacks with school supplies donated to Steps to Success and Eastern Service Workers Association. Details, Contact Person and a list of items needed etc will be forthcoming. 

Food Packing at Brookline Thrives (September 2024 through June 2025) —  Rotarians support Brookline Thrives every 4th Wednesday evening & on other shifts to help package weekend food for Brookline Public School students facing food scarcity. Held at Brookline Thrives, 218 New Terrace Road. Volunteer sign up lists will be available in late August. Contact: Phil Sandler.

Dog Day 2024  (October 20, 2024) — a fun, family community event with local vendors and non-profits, food treats for dogs (and owners), a Halloween Costume Competition, dog Performance Demonstrations, Doggies Yoga, Information booth on owning and caring for a dog, a shelter showing dogs awaiting adoption, and so much more! A portion of the proceeds donated to Fidelco, a non-profit that trains guide dogs to donate to the blind. To be held the Brookline Avenue Playground/ raindate Oct 27th. Volunteer sign-up lists will be available as the date approaches. Contact Co-Chairs: Susan Rack and Paul Saner.

Holiday Gift Giving (November/Deccember 2024) — partnering with the Brookline Center for Community Mental Health, Rotarians are paired with gift requests from children and purchase the gifts and wrapping paper. These are donated to the Center where parents can wrap the gifts themselves for their own children. 

Blanket Project (possibly January 2025)— making flannel blankets to donate to the Linus Project and/or other charities for children and/or the elderly.  Details and contact person to be forthcoming.

Marathon Monday (April 2025) — each year Rotary provides food and refreshments for attendees of the Marathon — April 15, 2024, usually held 40 Webster St, in front of Courtyard Marriott. Collections for the Special Olympics are usually made. Contact person TBA.

Rotary Day of Service & Brookline’s Annual Spring Fest (usually May 2025) -- a major town wide event with a variety of groups participating coordinated by Brookline's Department of Parks and Recreation. Details and Date/time TBA. Contact: Susan Rack.

RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) (June 2025) -- unique opportunity for 200 high school sophomores sponsored by 50 Rotary Clubs to come together for a weekend of challenging and enriching activities to cultivate fellowship and learn skills. Volunteers welcome. Contact: Jim Feldkamp.
